What the BNA3 Fulfillment Center Does
A fulfillment center is where Amazon stores inventory and assembles customer orders. Items arrive from suppliers, are stowed into the building's inventory system, and are then picked, packed, and handed off to carriers when an order is placed. BNA3 performs that role for the Middle Tennessee region.
The facility is one of several Amazon buildings in the Nashville metropolitan area. Amazon assigns each site a code based on the nearest major airport, which is why Murfreesboro's building carries a Nashville identifier rather than a local one. Because of its size, BNA3 is a significant employer in Rutherford County and a notable driver of freight traffic along the Joe B Jackson Parkway corridor.
Where Is BNA3 Located?
The BNA3 Amazon fulfillment center is at 2020 Joe B Jackson Pkwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37127, on the south side of Murfreesboro near the I-24 corridor and south of downtown. From Interstate 24 in either direction, take Exit 84 (Joe B Jackson Parkway). Exit 81 is Church Street/US-231, which is the wrong exit for the facility.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation began interchange improvement construction at Exit 84 in May 2025 under the IMPROVE Act, so drivers heading to shift changes should allow extra time for work-zone traffic.
BNA3 History and Size
Amazon and Gov. Bill Haslam announced the Murfreesboro fulfillment center in December 2011, alongside a second center in Lebanon. Together, the two sites were expected to create more than 1,300 jobs and $135 million in investment in Tennessee. In August 2012, the state said the facilities were expected to begin operations that fall, and Tennessee Career Centers took applications for the new positions.
Amazon does not publish current per-site headcounts, so this page does not state one.
BNA3 Jobs and Hiring
Amazon does not publish per-facility hiring details, pay rates, or shift schedules through local channels, and openings change frequently. Applications are handled entirely through Amazon's official sites:
- Warehouse and fulfillment roles — posted at hiring.amazon.com. Search by Murfreesboro, Tennessee to see current openings, pay, and shifts.
- Corporate and technical roles — posted at amazon.jobs.
Treat any third-party site that charges a fee to apply, or that asks for payment or banking details before an offer, as illegitimate. Amazon does not charge applicants.
