What is Friday Night Live in Murfreesboro?
Friday Night Live is a free outdoor concert series on the Murfreesboro Public Square, organized by Main Street Murfreesboro and presented by Wilson Bank & Trust. A live band plays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on a few Friday evenings between June and October, the audience dances or brings lawn chairs, and downtown restaurants serve dinner before the show.
It is not a weekly event. The 2026 season had four dates, and each one is a different act: a Billy Joel and Elton John tribute in June, the dance band Entice in July, an '80s cover band in September and singer Matthias Lamparter to close in October. The stage sits on the courthouse square, so the storefronts, the restaurants on the Square and the sidewalks become the venue.
Main Street Murfreesboro, the downtown nonprofit that also runs the Saturday Market, puts it this way: “cut a rug or bring a chair and enjoy the music sitting down,” and “it's all free!”

What to Expect at Friday Night Live
One band, three hours
Each date is a single act playing a full evening on the courthouse square, from tribute shows to dance and cover bands. People dance in front of the stage or set up chairs on the lawn.
Dinner downtown

Parking with no time limit
“There is no parking time limit in the evenings or on the weekends,” Main Street notes, so street spaces and the two downtown garages are all fair game after 6 p.m.
Where Do You Park for Friday Night Live?
Anywhere downtown. Street parking around the Square and on Main, Church, Maple, Vine and College streets is free, and the two public garages are a short walk; none of it is time-limited on Friday evenings or weekends. The spaces facing the courthouse go first, so arrive by 6 p.m. for a close spot, or park a block or two out and walk in.
