Flying Biscuit Café is coming to Murfreesboro. Flying Biscuit Franchising says restaurant and retail operator Paresh Patel has signed a franchise agreement to open the brand's first café in the Murfreesboro and Rutherford County area. The company announced the agreement on Sept. 30, 2026.
There is no address or opening date yet. Flying Biscuit says site selection is underway and that it will share the location and opening date after the lease is signed. Hours and hiring details will also come after a site is secured.
Flying Biscuit has not set an opening date. The company says the date will be announced after the lease is signed. Until a site is chosen, the café's exact location in Murfreesboro or Rutherford County is not known.
Flying Biscuit says Paresh Patel has more than 10 years of experience running high-volume food service and convenience businesses, from gas stations to restaurants. The company also says he knows the Murfreesboro market. According to Flying Biscuit, Patel found the brand on social media before he tried the food.
"The food is what got me first — it is a step above what else is out there in breakfast and brunch," Patel said in the announcement. He said he wants Murfreesboro's café to be "the place families and friends pick on a Saturday morning."
The agreement covers one café. Flying Biscuit says Patel hopes to eventually own three locations as a multi-unit owner-operator.
Flying Biscuit serves breakfast and lunch only. The company says its cafés open early and close at 3 p.m. The Murfreesboro café will serve the full breakfast and lunch menu, which includes:
Full-service catering will also be available.
Murfreesboro is the newest of several Tennessee deals. According to Flying Biscuit:
The chain was founded in Atlanta in 1993. It says it has 44 locations open and 12 in development across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Texas and Missouri.
"Tennessee has filled in quickly, and Murfreesboro is a good place for the next Flying Biscuit," said Andrew Scherzer, partner and director of franchise development for Flying Biscuit Franchising.
Until Flying Biscuit picks a site, OnlyInMurfreesboro's breakfast guide and brunch guide list local options for weekend mornings. The new restaurants guide tracks other openings, including Chinwag, which begins dinner service Oct. 22 on Medical Center Parkway. Coffee drinkers can also look ahead to the Starbucks holiday menu on Nov. 5 or check the coffee shop guide.
