Subway announced the plans on Oct. 21 in its newsroom. National Sandwich Day falls on Tuesday, Nov. 3, which is also Election Day, so Subway moved its celebration up one week.
Why is Subway celebrating National Sandwich Day on Oct. 27?
Subway says Nov. 3 is "a big day in America" because of the midterm election, so it chose to give sandwiches "their own moment" on Oct. 27 instead. Subway says both returning menu items and the Footlong deal will still be available for anyone who marks National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3.
What is the Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub?
The Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub is back for a limited time starting Oct. 27. Subway last offered it in 2014. It is made with:
- Rotisserie-style chicken marinated in enchilada sauce
- Fritos corn chips
- Baja Chipotle sauce
- Monterey Cheddar cheese
- Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes and red onions
What is in Subway's Caramel Apple Cookie?
The Caramel Apple Cookie returns for a limited time for the first time since 2021. Subway says it has apple pieces, caramel chips and salted caramel crunch, finished with a caramel icing drizzle.
