The Fried Tater Cafe is a family-owned Southern cafe and burger diner located at 11088 Versailles Road in Rockvale, Tennessee, serving rural families and travelers across southwestern Rutherford County. Originally opened by Melissa Wright and her family to honor her late father and her husband's grandparents, and now owned and operated by Todd and Jana Lake, the restaurant operates inside a historic 200-year-old building in the Versailles community that previously housed the old Versailles Grocery and Post Office. The kitchen prepares scratch-made Southern comfort plates including fried chicken, farm-raised catfish, meatloaf, pulled pork sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, and hand-patted specialty burgers such as the Havarti burger, western burger, and patty melt.
