The first annual Rutherford County Veterans Day Parade travels down Main Street in Murfreesboro, starting at MTSU and finishing at the historic Public Square, with an awards ceremony and music at 1 p.m. Organizers list marching bands, veterans' units, vintage vehicles, scout troops and first responders among the participants. The parade is hosted by Single Tree BBQ and Minutes Wisely with host sponsor Atmos Energy and partner Country Financial. It is free to attend, and donations support local veterans' programs.
