About This Event

Walk It Out: Domestic Violence Memorial & Survivor Walk is a community walk at Gateway Island hosted by Chin Up, Girl to honor survivors, remember lives lost to domestic violence and bring visibility to its impact in Rutherford County. According to the organizer, it is the first community-organized memorial and survivor walk held in Murfreesboro in more than 15 years. The walk takes place during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Chin Up, Girl cites 2,726 domestic violence cases reported by the Murfreesboro Police Department and 590 reported by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in 2024.
