About This Event

MTSU's James E. Walker Library Special Collections partners with the Department of Art and Design for Stitch Through History: Embroidery and the Bayeux Tapestry, a beginner-friendly workshop in the Special Collections Reading Room on the library's fourth floor. Participants embroider a simple scene from the 11th-century Bayeux Tapestry, the nearly 70-meter embroidered chronicle of the Norman Conquest of England. The program ties into the Special Collections exhibit Creating Home: Domesticity and the Role of Women and supports the Medieval and Early Modern minor.
