The City of La Vergne brings back its annual Goblins and Goodies at the Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026, turning the trail at Veterans Memorial Park into a trick-or-treat route lined with booths from local businesses and organizations. The event runs from noon to 2:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
According to the city, thousands of children are expected to walk the candy trail, making it one of the largest Halloween events for families in the northern end of Rutherford County.
The candy trail is held at Veterans Memorial Park, 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive, La Vergne, TN 37086. The full listing is on the Goblins and Goodies in the Park event page.
Families hike the park trail and stop at booths to trick-or-treat. Participating businesses and organizations sign up in advance with the city and decorate their booths in a family-friendly Halloween theme. The city says handouts range from candy to Goo Goo Clusters, and many booths set up games for children to play along the way.
Pavilion A hosts a Zombie Dance set to family-friendly Halloween music, along with a costume contest at 1:30 p.m. Contest winners are announced at 1:30 p.m. in four age groups:
First place in each group receives a $75 gift card, second place $50 and third place $25.
Local businesses and organizations that want to host a booth register with the City of La Vergne through its online application. Booths are expected to follow the family-friendly Halloween theme.
October 24 is one of the busiest Saturdays of the fall season in Rutherford County. The same day, Smyrna hosts Halloween in the Park, and Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro marks its 50th annual Harvest Days.
