About This Event
Southeast Baptist Church presents the 42nd Bethlehem Marketplace, a free walk-through Christmas drama that re-creates how the village of Bethlehem might have appeared the morning after the birth of Jesus. Costumed characters including Roman soldiers, tent makers, weavers, merchants and census-takers fill sawdust-lined streets, and live camels and other animals add to the setting. Guests wait in the church sanctuary with Christmas music from local school choirs and groups before touring the village, which takes about an hour. Admission is free, no reservations are required, and nothing is for sale.
